    To reduce the significant losses and numerous pain points caused by loosening of clamped workpieces during precision machining—resulting in precision deviations—OncQue has launched a new “Smart Vibration and Clamping Force Monitoring Solution.” This system can be applied to various machines that experience reduced yield rates or downtime due to clamping and vibration issues, providing more accurate and reliable manufacturing operations.

    OncQue states that by monitoring clamping force data during machine operation, potential failure points can be detected early. If anomalies such as collisions or tool breakages occur during the process, vibration data analysis can trigger alerts displayed on-screen and interfaced with the system to transmit real-time data. This enables early detection of machining abnormalities, reduces potential losses, and allows the analysis of monitored data to improve the yield rate in precision manufacturing processes.

    The company explains that the solution offers three application modes:

  1. Clamping Force Monitoring – Capable of long-term monitoring of clamping force (kg), including time-based and threshold settings, with integration to customers’ SPC (Statistical Process Control) formats.

  2. Vibration Monitoring – Features include 3-axis vibration output (in g-force) and simplified output format for easy system integration.

  3. Combined Monitoring (Clamping Force + Vibration) – Provides both clamping and vibration data, and supports CSV report export.

    It is suitable for any equipment suffering yield loss or downtime due to screw clamping or vibration issues—such as robotic arms, slide rails, motors, and machine tools—as well as for devices requiring accurate clamping and vibration measurements. Custom sensor solutions are also available to ensure safety through both qualitative and quantitative vibration and clamping force analysis.

    The key advantages of OncQue’s “Smart Vibration and Clamping Force Monitoring Solution” include integrated hardware and software design for force and vibration measurement, innovative embedded vibration sensors in clamping force modules (3-axis, ±16g, 0.0005g/LSB), and custom wired/wireless systems.
